Floating Sauna Night - the details

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Floating Sauna Night on Friday, 25 September, as part of International Sauna Congress 2026!

This information is for those who have a ticket to Floating Sauna Night. The event is fully booked. But everyone is welcome to join the party at Sukkerbiten from 18:00 to midnight.

The evening includes two floating sauna experiences at two locations for each participant:

  • Langkaia (either Pust or KOK)

  • Sukkerbiten (Oslo Badstuforening)

Everyone will be assigned to one of ten groups. Your group shows your first sauna session with KOK or PUST at Langkaia, followed by a session with Oslo Badstuforening (OBF) at Sukkerbiten. This is a ticketed event, you can see in your order confirmation email if you have booked a spot.

IMPORTANT: Your assigned ticket group includes both sauna sessions shown below: one session at KOK or PUST at Langkaia, and one session with Oslo Badstuforening at Sukkerbiten. You must remember your group number and  follow the times shown for your group.

All information has been emailed to ticket holders for this event.

The ISC Organising team is unable to arrange group changes. If you would like to swap groups, please use the “Floating Sauna Night Slot Exchange” group in the ISC26 WhatsApp community to find another participant and arrange the exchange directly. When arriving at your sauna location, inform the staff whom you have exchanged with.

When you arrive at Sukkerbiten, you can visit the art exhibition at Frakt, buy food and drinks at Sukkerbiten Servering, and meet volunteers from Oslo Sauna Association who will share stories about life on the floating sauna around campfires and in the saunas. In addition, there will be Norwegian folk music on arrival and a warm drink on departure.

Practical information:

  • We recommend eating beforehand or bringing a snack to enjoy between sauna sessions. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase at Sukkerbiten Servering.

  • Please bring 2–3 towels, swimwear, a water bottle and, if you wish, slippers and a sauna hat.

  • Changing rooms are available at KOK, Pust and Sukkerbiten.

  • We recommend wearing warm, comfortable clothing, as you will be walking between the venues and spending time outdoors throughout the evening. The walk from Pust or KOK to Sukkerbiten is around 10 minutes.

  • Please arrive on time for your scheduled sauna sessions. If you arrive late, you will not be given extra time.
