What you see here is a preliminary version of the congress program – just to give you a taste of what’s coming. The full and detailed program will be ready in spring 2026. Stay tuned for updates, and get ready for exciting content, great conversations, and inspiring moments

The main venue is SALT, right on the city’s waterfront, just a short walk from Oslo Central Station and easily reached by public transport, bike, or on foot. If you’re flying in, Oslo Airport (OSL) connects directly to the city center (about 20 minutes by train).

Getting to and from The Well and SALT in Bjørvika:

By bus:
The easiest way to travel between The Well and central Oslo is by bus 81, 83 and 84E. The bus runs between The Well and downtown Oslo. From Jernbanetorget, it’s just a 5–10 minute walk to SALT in Bjørvika.

By taxi or car:
A taxi ride between The Well and SALT takes about 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic. Driving distance: around 18 km (11 miles).

Accommodation

Oslo offers a wide range of accommodation options in all price categories. For the International Sauna Congress 2026, we have secured special rates both at The Well and at selected Strawberry Hotels close to the congress venue.

Overnight stays with local sauna lovers will be also available through our Sauna Community Hosts program.

    Price: NOK 2,990 per night (for 2 persons in a double room)

    Bookings must be made manually by sending an email to booking@thewell.no and quoting the discount code (ISC26).

    Bookings must be made by December 31, 2025.

    For bookings made after this date, a 20% discount will be applied to the lowest available rate — the same discount code applies.

    Prices are per person in a standard room including breakfast. Other room categories are available at regular supplements.

    Booking conditions: Book before 31 December 2025 to secure these fixed rates. Minimum stay: 2 nights. Limited number of rooms available.

    After 31 December 2025, the following applies:

    15% discount on Best Available Rate, subject to availability (no rooms will be pre-reserved).

ISC26 offers a rich program of talks, panels, cultural events, networking opportunities, and of course unforgettable sauna experiences, showcasing Norway’s vibrant sauna scene in both urban and restorative spa settings.

Getting here

  • What your ticket includes:

    Each congress ticket costs 550 euros (incl. taxes and fees), and includes the following:

    • Opening ceremony and reception in Oslo City Hall with refreshments and light snacks

    • Bus transportation to The Well Thursday evening

    • Entrance to The Well on Thursday evening

    • Admission to all congress sessions, panels, and talks

    • Access to SALT’s sauna and plunge facilities as part of the event program

    • Refreshments, snacks and lunch on each full congress day (2 days)

    Flights and accommodation are not included and must be booked separately. Information regarding accommodation options can be found here.

    On November 17th, tickets will be released for open purchase at saunacongress2026.org.

    The price will remain 550 euros until January 1st 2026, when the price will increase to 600 euros.

    Friday September 25th: Floating Sauna Night in OsloEnjoy an atmospheric evening on Oslo’s waterfront with floating saunas and communal bathing in the harbour. This social sauna experience has limited capacity. 

    Saturday September 26th: Badstufest at SALT, the official closing nightCelebrate the conclusion of the congress with a festive sauna party at SALT. The evening features music, social sauna sessions, and sauna rituals in a lively and celebratory atmosphere.

    You may also add an optional donation to Sauna Aid at checkout to support sauna related projects worldwide.

  • Become a part of ISC 2026!

    International Sauna Congress provides an opportunity for scientists, sauna professionals and those interested in sauna to share their research and other thematic contributions with the sauna community through presentations.

    The aim is to broaden the understanding of the health effects, history, culture, technology, and the societal and environmental impact of sauna.
