There’s no war in sauna: Get to know Sauna Aid
ISC26 is a proud partner of Sauna Aid. Learn more about the organization and the fantastic work they do in places affected by natural and man-made disasters.
Sauna Aid is a multicountry initiative to provide movable sauna and supportive services to people facing natural and man-made disasters.
Over the past few years, Sauna Aid has made remarkable strides, thanks to the dedication and collaborative efforts of numerous individuals and organizations around the globe.
What began as an urgent, post-Fukushima–inspired response has grown into a sustained effort to bring warmth, dignity, and healing to people in need—across Ukraine and beyond. With limited resources and an extraordinary team, Sauna Aid continues this work in collaboration with Repower, Saunas for Ukraine, and Sauna Without Borders.
2025 Highlights:
• Delivered mobile and container saunas to frontline and recovery locations across Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Kherson, and Staryi Sambir.
• Supported civilians, medics, and volunteer defense units—including the nearly all-female Witches of Bucha.
• Helped more than 600 Ukrainian medical workers recover through sauna programs in Ukraine, Denmark, and Sweden.
• Extended recovery support to California firefighters after the 2025 LA fires and helped develop trauma-informed bath attendant training.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of individuals, sauna companies, and organizations worldwide. Over four years, Sauna Aid has raised more than $50,000 through global fundraising events. We are deeply grateful for your support—and for showing how heat, care, and presence can truly matter.
You can easily contribute when purchasing your International Sauna Congress ticket.
